Roughed up and ready for anything.
The iconic 1460 boot has been redesigned in Ambassador leather – a heavyweight naturally tumbled oily material.
Topped with antique gold eyelets, this 1460 has a worn-in appearance with iconic yellow welt stitch and a smoke-coloured Docs sole.
- Born on 1st April 1960 and named as such. Over six decades the 8-eye 1460 has become iconic.
- Ambassador is a heavyweight and oily leather that has been tumbled – meaning it retains its natural characteristics and markings. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam
Built to last, this shoe is made using one of the finest methods of construction, the Goodyear Welt. This means the upper and sole are sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions. Yellow Z welt-stitch combines with the heat-sealing process to make this a unique Dr. Martens product.
The original Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole, providing underfoot comfort and durability since 1960. It is oil and fat-resistant, tough and offers good abrasion and slip resistance.
Please note: Leather is a natural product with unique, character-rich qualities that differ from hide to hide. It's common to see inconsistencies in the colour and texture of this rich leather, so your shoes may vary slightly from the product image shown on this page.
Care Instruction: Clean away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry and apply a high- quality wax. We recommend Dr Martens Wonder Balsam to provide water protection and natural colour restoration.
