1460 - THE WHO
DR. MARTENS X THE WHO
A COLLABORATION DECADES IN THE MAKING
When Pete Townshend wore a battered old pair of 1460 boots on stage in 1967, he catapulted Dr Martens from a modest workwear brand to a world of overdrive, stage dives and mosh pits. Music has been Dr Martens heartbeat ever since, as the band stomped, smashed and scissor-kicked their way to the top of the British mod scene, Dr Martens were there every step of the way.
Now, with this new collaboration, things have come full circle. Or rather: full mod target.
Dr Martens Shoes and Boots have become icons, recognised worldwide for their uncompromising looks, durability and comfort.
The 1460 is the original Dr. Martens boot and embodies all that is true of this classic style.
- 8 Eyelet 1460 styling
- Durable and famously stiff to start, this Smooth Leather can be polished to a dapper shine or artfully scuffed-up depending on your preference
- Dr. Martens air-cushion sole is oil and fat resistant, providing good abrasion and slip resistance
- Made tough with a Goodyear-welted construction
Built to last, this boot is made using one of the finest methods of construction, the Goodyear Welt. This means the upper and sole are sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions. Yellow Z welt-stitch combines with the heat-sealing process to make this a unique Dr. Martens product.
The original Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole, providing underfoot comfort and durability since 1960. It is oil and fat resistant, tough and offers good abrasion and slip resistance.
Care Instruction: Clean away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry and apply correct coloured, wax-based shoe polish to restore shine as desired.
