Terms and Conditions of Sale

All goods purchased must be paid in full before goods are dispatched. We do not operate a 'cash on delivery' service. Delivery times quoted are per working day and do not include Saturday, Sunday, or UK bank holidays. Delivery times are not guaranteed and are subject to carrier service.

Exceptions of Sale

All credit card orders are thoroughly checked, we will not dispatch orders until we have verified the authenticity of the credit card details submitted.

UK Orders and overseas shipping:

We deliver orders throughout the UK and to all parts of the world. UK orders are usually delivered within 3 working days. 

The delivery schedule for items sent outside the UK is:

Europe: Approx 3 - 7 Working days.

Rest of World: Approx 5 -10 Working Days. 

However, please allow 28 working days in exceptional circumstances.

Customers outside of the EU

If you are ordering from a non-EU member state country in Europe (including the Channel Islands), or from anywhere outside Europe, you may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches your country.

Please note the UK is no longer a member of the EU, as a result deliveries to mainland Europe may be subject to an import fee. 

Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you may wish to contact your local Customs office for further information.

Value Added Tax is not applied to orders received from countries outside the EU. These orders will continue to attract the same advertised prices applicable to the products on display.

Additionally, please note that when ordering from The Boot Company, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

Returning your Purchase


If you decide your purchase is not suitable or does not fit, you may return it to us for a Replacement or a Refund equal to the value of the purchased product, returns must be unworn and in the original packaging.

Providing your purchase was made within 30 days of the date you wish to make a return, returns can be dealt with in the following way:

1) The quickest and easiest option is to use one of our returns labels which are valid with Royal Mail. Some customers find it daunting to arrange a return themselves, so to help make your return as simple as possible we offer a single use returns label which is suitable whether you are looking for an exchange or a refund.

This label can be found by clicking on the link above titled 'View our Returns Label'. Please add the label to your basket and purchase it. When your order is received by one of our representatives, we will send your Returns Label via the e-mail address you provide at the checkout.

*Please note it can take up to 24 hours for your Returns Label to be e-mailed to you but this will not affect your returns period.

2) Obviously, you do not have to use our returns label if you would prefer you can simply re-package your order including all tags and paperwork and return it to us using any tracked delivery service, from any delivery provider located in the UK.

There is never an urgency from our perspective, so do not be persuaded into using a costly Next Day Delivery or Guaranteed by 1pm service. A simple '48 hour Tracked' delivery service will be more than sufficient.

3) Finally if you are local to our Retail Store in Bristol you are more than welcome to return the order to us personally and we will deal with your return/exchange in store.

Orders which require a Refund will be refunded within in a minimum of 3 working days once the returned parcel is received at our retail store. Please note, the returned item must be unworn & in re-sellable condition including its original packaging, tags etc.

Where an exchange is required, please enclose full details of your original order together with clear instructions for the style, size and colour you require to be sent in exchange. 

Returns made outside of the 30 day return period may be refused at our discretion and if accepted will be subject to a £10 restocking charge

Please contact us before making any return outside of this 30 day period. Where possible extensions will be provided for Christmas and other legitimate causes but this remains at our discretion. 

Customers who return an order by simply applying tape and posting labels directly onto the box will be charged £10 for a replacement box! Please wrap the shoe box in a posting bag, black bag or even wrapping paper to ensure the box is protected and therefore in great condition for the next customer.

Excessive returns may incur a re-stocking charge.

In the unfortunate case of an item which has developed a fault which has not been caused by misuse, please return it to us for inspection. Upon identification of a fault, we may refund any reasonable postage charge incurred by the customer & send a replacement or issue a full refund. Before returning a product, you may wish to telephone our customer representative for help and advice with your problem?

Please note, due to the extended delivery time, we are unable to accept the return of overseas orders sent by Surface Mail.

All good returned for refund or exchange must be in the original condition with no signs of wear, all sales and marketing tags intact and in the original box.
