The Red Wing 4501 Logger Boot is a tall, substantial lace-up style drawn from the brand’s working heritage. First released in 1940 for the logging industry, this returning design was reintroduced to mark Red Wing’s 120th anniversary.
Its 8-inch height provides added coverage around the ankle and lower leg, while the full lace fastening allows the fit to be adjusted along the length of the boot. A defined 90-degree heel and pronounced lug sole create the strong, functional shape associated with traditional logger footwear.
The upper is made from Black Oil Slick leather, giving the boot a dark, straightforward finish that pairs naturally with denim and workwear. Red Wing states that its leather is produced by the S.B. Foot Tanning Company in Red Wing, Minnesota. Nickel eyelets add a clean contrast against the black upper without distracting from the boot’s practical appearance.
